Our main emphasis is on the communication needs of the student, with grammar being taught not as an end in itself but to support communication.

Students are active participants in the teaching-learning process, using role-plays of concrete situations to enable them to build the confidence to handle real life interactions. Understanding written and spoken Italian is also addressed.
Building vocabulary and learning and understanding the rules of grammar are other important aspects of our method. Students are divided into small groups where they have the opportunity to practise the language starting with relatively easy situations such as getting to know somebody, talking about one’s own tastes and habits, asking for and giving directions and advancing to the more difficult challenges of telling a story, expressing one’s opinion, commenting on a literary text or on an article from a newspaper.
The school aims to help the students to learn the language in the most effective way, using techniques that enable them to master Italian not only with the rational part of their mind, but also making use of their unconscious, creative abilities in a relaxed and humorous atmosphere.
